Playground re-opening

Manton Parish Council are pleased to be able to reopen our village playground. Please note however that the equipment in the bark pit remains out of use as the current level of bark surface does not meet the required safety depth. Please ensure that your child, for their own safety, does not attempt to use the equipment in this area. Please remember that allowing children to use this playground and equipment is at parents' own risk.

Due to Covid-19 the government has produced guidance on the use of playgrounds. Please read the guidance below on minimising the transmission risk of Covid-19 and note that MPC will not be cleaning and disinfecting the equipment.

Please ensure that your child uses hand sanitiser before, and after, the use of play equipment.
Parents may wish to wipe equipment where there are clear touch points.
Please be aware of social distancing of 2 metres where possible but at least 1 metre.
A maximum number of 30 persons, at any one time, are allowed to use the playground area.
It is advised that only one family member accompanies a child.
Consumption of food and drink on play equipment or in the playground area is banned.
Please take care with the disposal of rubbish, in particular face coverings or disposable gloves. Please take rubbish away and dispose of it at home.
